KILIMANJARO MARANGU ROUTE
Trip Summary: 2 nights/ 4 days on the mountain This route has a moderate slope,(is also called coca cola route) making it less difficult to climb. It is the most popular way up Kilimanjaro, and is the only route with emergency evacuation service. Also, it is the only route with huts, having dormitory and dining rooms.
DAY:1
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport/Nairobi transferred to Hotel in Arusha
DAY:2 MANDARA
Depart Arusha for Marangu Gate, after the gate fees payments, you will start climbing to Mandara Hut. Picnic lunch on the way. This walking will take 3hours-5hours. Altitude is 2700mts. Dinner & Overnight at Mandara Camp.
DAY:3 HOROMBO
After breakfast, we proceed with your climbing, lunch on the way. The walk will take 4-7 hours. Altitude is 3700mts. Dinner & Overnight at Horombo Camp.
DAY:4 KIBO
After breakfast, continue with the climbing towards the Kibo Hut. Lunch will be on the way. The walk will take 5-7 hours. Altitude here is 4700mts. Dinner & Overnight at Kibo Hut.
DAY:5 UHURU PEAK - HOROMBO
After breakfast, again with your picnic lunch boxes, Climb to Uhuru Peak, lunch on the way. Then Descend to Horombo Hut. The walk will take 7-8 hours. Altitude is 5896mts. Dinner & Overnight at Horombo Hut.
DAY:6 MARANGU - ARUSHA
After breakfast, descend from Horombo hut to Marangu Gate. Lunch served on the way Here you will meet our vehicle and you will be transferred back to Arusha then to your Hotel.
DAY:7
Transfer to the airport for your return flight
